The idea for MapGO was born in mid-2024 out of my own frustration as a developer. I was tired of juggling multiple APIs just to get basic location data—country information, distances, borders, and more. Every project felt like reinventing the wheel, and I knew there had to be a better way.

By the end of 2024, I had built and launched the MapGO API, a unified solution for all location intelligence needs. No more hopping between platforms, no more inconsistent documentation, and no more headaches. Just one simple, developer-friendly tool to handle it all.

In January 2025, the MapGO website went live, marking the next step in the journey. It's not backed by investors or a big team—it's just me, working to make life easier for developers like you. Every feature, every line of code, and every update is driven by my passion for solving real problems.

At the moment, MapGO is a brand-new project, and while traffic is still growing, it already offers powerful features:

• Calculate distances to coastlines or country, region, and sub-region borders in a straight line.
• Retrieve the full hierarchy of country, region, sub-region, district, and municipality from any coordinates.
• Get straight-line distances between points.
• Perform single lookups or, with a lifetime plan, submit CSV files for batch processing.
